EcoLocal’s Environment Fair

Last Monday The Big Lunch team went along to EcoLocal’s Environmental Fair in Carshalton, South London.
EcoLocal develops and delivers a broad range of environmental sustainability services designed to help people move toward more pro-environmental behaviours.

These services cover:
- local food, health, transport, energy, waste minimisation,
- community engagement, consultation and research,
- training and facilitation and event management.

Just like The Big Lunch, EcoLocal’s projects and services seeks to engage, and be accessible to, local communities. EcoLocal recognises that there is not a single “community”, but a diverse range of local communities and they endeavour to reflect this in their approach.

EcoLocal’s Environmental Fair was a great chance for The Big Lunch to promote next year’s event and even meet some of our Big Lunchers who have been on board since 2009!

There was something for everyone at Carshalton’s Environmental Fair from craft and local produce stalls to seeds to get you growing your own veg, face painting to energy creating cycle challenges, and an opportunity to listen to music and entertainment on three different stages and speakers on environmental issues.
