Keep Wales Tidy’s are calling out for communities to do something wonderful for wildlife this autumn and have a Wild Weekend for Wales (26-28 October 2012). The campaign aims to improve biodiversity by helping people to undertake small projects, to benefit native species and create new wildlife havens. You can help improve the biodiversity of Wales by doing something simple such as planting a tree or building a bug box.
To give you a helping hand with your wild adventure, Keep Wales Tidy have teamed up with Homebase, Countryside Council for Wales and the Welsh Assembly to offer HOMBASE VOUCHERS of up to £200. The deadline is fast approaching to get your application in to be in with a chance of getting your hands
Anyone can apply; from community groups, schools and organisations to businesses, families and individuals. However, your project must take place on publicly-accessible land and its aim must be to help improve the biodiversity of Wales by creating and improving wildlife havens for our protected species.on these vouchers and create a new wildlife habitat area in your local community.
To apply you will need to read the eligibility criteria, complete the application form and return to Keep Wales Tidy by 5.00pm on Wednesday 26 September 2012.
